Team Leader - Denver

After graduating from Auburn University and a two-year stint in East Asia, Gray moved back to Birmingham and joined the gk team as a Leasing Co-ordinator. From there he became the Birmingham Team Leader and has since moved to Denver! He handles daily operations as well as owner communication and is driven by providing the very best in customer service. We are excited he is taking on a new adventure out in Denver for us, but sure do miss him here in Birmingham! When Gray is out of the office he enjoys skiing, camping, climbing and being on the water. Hometown: Birmingham, Alabama

David Soles
Property Manager

David is passionate about real estate, problem-solving and the Florida State Seminoles! While he started his career in public education and comes to us with 10+ years experience in all aspects of our industry. Whether it’s managing highrise condominiums, scaling owner/tenant processes or expanding his own real estate portfolio David is motivated to provide the best possible service to our clients and GK teammates. David enjoys his down time with his two boys, PERFECT wife and their dog Rocket.

Phillip Austin
Property Manager

Phillip was born in Greensboro, North Carolina but he grew up in Houston, Texas. After 12 years in the hospitality industry (hotels, restaurants, music festivals, sporting events, and county clubs), Phillip decided to take an entrepreneurial leap and join the gkhouses team! Phillip has been a Property Manger with gkhouses since August of 2019 and has a high attention to detail and vast customer service experience. He is an owner of a sweet Dalmatian named Ketto and a feisty Persian cat named Benji. One of his favorite hobbies is traveling the state to find places to fly fish.

Jennifer Merrit
Business Development Manager

Jennifer Merrit is from Arvada, Colorado. She began working for gkhouses in Denver as the Business Development Manager in June 2020. Jennifer's hobbies include waterskiing, wake surfing, volleyball, hiking, cooking and spending time with her husband and 2 boys. One of her favorite quotes that she tried to live by is: "Your beliefs become your thoughts. Your thoughts become your words. Your words become your actions. Your actions become your habits. Your habits become your values. Your values become your destiny".

Graham Schmidt
Leasing Coordinator

At Auburn Graham studied Entrepreneurship and Family Business with an emphasis on Real Estate. With most of his experience in problem solving and customer relations he was an easy transition into leasing. When he isn't on the clock he owns a startup in the fragrance industry. Most of the time you will probably catch him in the mountains or at a Denver Nuggets game. Climbing, biking, hiking, camping, snowboarding, fishing - if you can do it outside, you might see him trying it. He is passionate about helping others succeed and is thankful for his support team. He has an amazing wife and a border collie that we are glad to have as part of the gkhouses family.

Reagan Hopp
Business Development Manager

Reagan has a deep love for teaching and practicing yoga as well as spending quality time outdoors. That is why she is entirely at home in Colorado's Front Range. At gkhouses, Reagan serves as our Business Development Manager for Colorado, where she has the pleasure of interacting with potential clients. When we asked what she wished every rental house owner knew about gkhouses, she said, "I wish that they knew gkhouses always has their best interests at heart...the staff at gk genuinely wants our owners to be happy and our tenants to enjoy their rental homes to the fullest extent." Lindsey Brown
Receptionist

Lindsey spent her childhood and college years in her home state of New York, then decided to move to Colorado for a change of scenery. This is how she ended up at gkhouses in the Denver office! She enjoys traveling whenever the opportunity strikes, the beach being her favorite place, and loves anything that has to do with fashion.

Eddie Campbell
Maintenance Director

Eddie is the Maintenance Director for our Denver office. He started working with us July of 2019. His duties include managing the personnel and vendors we use to provide quality living accommodations to our tenants and peace of mind to our property owners. Eddie is a U.S. Army veteran who served in support of Operation Enduring Freedom during 2012 in Afghanistan and is a graduate of UCCS with a BA in Economics. Eddie is constantly trying to learn and refine his skill set, but when he isn't putting his nose to the grind stone he can be found at home working on his cars and spending time with his wife and 3 sons.

Frank Munoz
Tenant Communication Specialist

Frank joined GK Houses in 2018 and works with our tenant communication team. Frank is from Chicago which he left to travel Europe for 6 months back in 2009. In the last 9 years, Frank has worked in many customer service and purchasing management roles and is ready to offer our customers the best service. Frank has a Bachelor's Degree in Foreign Trade and Business and in his free time, he enjoys traveling, reading, running and cooking!

Britany Defoe
Owner Onboarding Specialist

Britany grew up in a small town about an hour north of Birmingham and moved to the city to pursue her Bachelors Degree in Business Management and Administration at the University of Alabama at Birmingham, graduating in 2015. Britany joined gkhouses in early 2020 and as an Owner Onboarding Specialist and her role here is to assist owners during their initial 100 days and get their properties set up in our system - answering any questions they may have along the way. Mixing her passion for technology and building, in Britany's spare time she enjoys working on and building computers along with playing video games. Her weekends are typically spent somewhere outside with her husky, Gypsy, followed up by watching an NBA game or UFC fight. Britany spends her vacations and summers traveling all over the country to see shows and attend music festivals.

Mary Jo Lee
Staff Accountant

Mary Jo grew up in Mobile, AL and graduated from the University of Alabama with a major in Finance and a specialization in Real Estate. Her passion for real estate and numbers led her to move to Birmingham after graduating to start her career as a staff accountant at gkhouses. Mary Jo’s dream is to one day own and operate a property development company. Her friends and family describe her as being bubbly and energetic. Her love for music comes from her 15 years of dance experience (some even say she was dancing before she was talking). Whenever she isn’t at the office, you can find her spending time with her friends and family. Favorite place: anywhere tropical

Russell Talley
Property Manager Technician

George Russell Talley, has gone by Russell his entire life. Russel is a maintenance technician and has been with gkhouses since Echo Summit, which is two year’s last month. As you can see by my photo I’m a motorcycle enthusiast. I love to ride. Which is my mantra for life, if your having a bad day just go for a ride!

Silvia Martinez
Tenant Communication Specialist

Silvia started working with gkhouses in November of 2018. She dedicated 6 years to Human Resources and is very passionate about building strong relationships and trust in each interaction. Because of this, she fits perfectly with our Tenant Communication Team in Denver! Silvia describes herself as a very analytical person and decided to go for a degree in Accounting. As part of her future goals, she plans to join the Red Cross as a volunteer to fulfill her desire to serve others. 

Jose Gonzalez
Property Manager Technician

Jose was born in a small town in Zacatecas Mexico. He immigrated to the U.S. when he was 8 years old. Jose grew up in California and then moved to Colorado in 1998. He has a wife, three boys and two dogs. Jose has been a plumber for seventeen years and he started working with gkhouses in July 2019. In his free time Jose likes to work around his house and spend time with family. Jose likes to cook Mexican food such as carnitas and carne asada bbq. He enjoys fishing with his kids even though the kids have moved on from fishing to work on their cars.

Juan Reyna
Leasing Coordinator

Juan is passionate about technology and learning about how things work. He is always ready to help others and this shows in his position as Leasing Coordinator. He has worked as a customer service rep for a tech company where he was promoted to supervisor. Juan is married with two little boys and enjoys spending time with them on his days off! He also loves traveling to new cities and watching the Anaheim Angels play a good game of baseball! 

Liz Gonzalez
Tenant Communication Specialist

Liz joined gkhouses in 2019 and works with our Tenant Communications Team. she has more then 8 years of experience in customer service which makes her perfect for this position. She likes to serve others with the mindset that every person deserves the best she can give them. Liz enjoys doing nonprofit community service, spending time with her husband, and teaching in her local church. 

Davey Aguilar
Property Manager Technician

David Aguilar is a maintenance technician with gkhouses. He is from Denver and in his free time coaches middle school volleyball and basketball. David loves spending time with his kids.
