Here is everything you need to know about the conversion to gkhouses!

As you can tell, things are changing around here. We have happy residents and owners in Denver, Ft. Collins, Birmingham, Nashville, Chattanooga, and Little Rock; and we are incredibly excited about making you happy too!

We’ve transferred management agreements before, but please don’t think we are perfect. We do have a good idea of the types of questions you want to know. So below, we’ve answered a bunch of those.

Frequently Asked Questions:

1. What is going to change?

While property management is a simple business, it isn’t easy. We’re going to move the Four Star business onto the gkhouses platform which will allow you to experience the best property management has to offer.

The changes that will actually appear to you won’t be mind-blowing. We may change some of “how the sausage is made”, but at the end of the day, it is going to look very similar to you.

The biggest two changes (one temporary and one permanent) are going to be – moving over to our software platform and tweaking how we communicate with you.

The software is built to run single-family and small multi-family homes, so it is a little bit different than what you are accustomed to. This does mean you will need to create a new account within our management software.

The second change, our communication change, is an effort to get you communicated with as accurately and quickly as possible. We will be doing away with the personal emails of team members and have one email for getting your questions answered – support@gkhouses.com.

This new email does NOT mean your email is going into the email ether.  This new email simply gives us the ability to measure how quickly our team is getting back with you and also the quality of the information and responses they provide you.

2. When will this take place?

We have already started the conversion and we are practically done. When you received the April Owner Statement, that is the cutoff date from the old system into the new system.

3. Where do I find my old information? 

Our plan is to leave the old system’s Owner Portal up for a few days. But don’t worry! We will also be migrating the Owner Statement information in pdf format to our server, so we will have it available in the future.

4. How do I get set up, log in and view my new Owner Portal?

6. What about tax reporting at the end of the year?

Four Star will be sending you a 1099 at the end of the year for the time you were with their management. You should receive this the first last week of January or first week of February.
